Gold Vault Roulette

Gold Vault Roulette is the mechanical and spiritual successor of another Evolution Gaming product, Gold Bar Roulette, which was originally released in 2022 but shuttered not along after as the company decided that the game had misfired. Instead, a new version of the game, known as Gold Vault Roulette, was introduced in August 2023. Luckily, the game has now been around long enough to know that it is not going anywhere and that this time Evolution Gaming has hit the mark.

The game bears a lot of resemblance with Lightning Roulette, which features a single-zero wheel, and offers up to 500x in multipliers that only trigger on the straight-up bets. However, there are some design decisions that set this game apart. For one, the studio itself looks more like a vault, and in the bar, there is a huge stockpile of gold bars. A live host accompanies the action, but they don’t actually do much, other than announce the results on a high note and cracking jokes.

As to the visual look of the game, it’s rather standard as a matter of fact, making full good use of Evolution’s slick graphics, overlay menus and other quality-of-life game features that allow you calibrate the visuals and audio settings.

Features

As we mentioned earlier, Gold Vault Roulette actually plays very similarly to a single-zero Lightning Roulette. It also features a racetrack, and it asks players to mostly bet on straight-up bets if they want to trigger the biggest rewards. Here are some of the other features to look forward to.

• Once you have placed your bets, between 5 and 20 gold bars are allocated across randomly selected numbers
• Each bar bears a multiplier of 50x and a maximum of three bars may stack on a single number, for a total of 150x. However, there is also a “Super Bar” which could assign a 500x payout to a slot.
• Once the lucky numbers have been selected, the wheel will start spinning automatically with players able to track the action without any issue
• If you win a lucky number, i.e. a number with a gold bar on it, you may trigger a payout based on your bet and the multiplier, or in other words 50x, 150x, or 500x
• However, if you land a straight-up number without a gold bar, the payout is only 24:1

When the first version was first released, the game featured multipliers worth 88x and players could actually pick the numbers they wanted to bet. As you can see, this has changed significantly in Gold Vault Roulette where the multipliers have been reduced in value and where players no longer get to pick their own numbers.

Another thing to note is that although Gold Vault Roulette is like Lightning Roulette, it’s not Lightning Roulette exactly. For one, Lightning Roulette pays 29:1, whereas Gold Vault Roulette pays 24:1 on the straight-up bets. The standard payout in European roulette, for example, is 35:1 on a straight-up bet.

Another thing to note about Gold Vault Roulette that is different is that the gold bars may actually stack and increase the value of the multiplier. Ultimately, you may get more numbers here that have the gold bars assigned to them, which gives players their additional incentive to play it.

One significant difference though, is that you will see the 500x multiplier available for Gold Vault Roulette much less often than you would in Lightning Roulette, so keep this in mind.
